Doc's appointment was cancelled as the doctor was stuck on the A1, the main road, and couldn't get to the surgery. I went as far as the village charity shop, 50 yards from my house, and donated a box of random stuff, and the Christmas tree that's too wide for the space in this living room. I also let them have a set of outdoor lights which I won't be able to use here. They set the tree up, and are on about having it on display. They were giving free cups of coffee, so that was as far as I got. There will be some more bits and bobs going tomorrow, as they will be open for a couple of hours.
The buses weren't running today, and the village schools were shut. We have 6-8 inches of snow,and it's broken the gutter off my back lobby. Just needs a new bracket. I hope the ones on the house hold up, as there's quite a weight of snow on them.

Tomorrow morning it's the church coffee morning, and I've a couple of fruit cakes to donate. Hope the path isn't too bad - it may only be across the road, but it's a sloping cobbled path the nearest way, and even steeper paving slabs from the bottom end. maybe the snow will give some traction!

Hopped onthe scales this morning - a couple of pounds more - must not sample my own baking!
