My Dad would sing this song every time we went fishing in any kind of boat. After his passing in 1972, I have carried on the tradition, usually twice weekly when I go fishing. I sing the first verse going out and the second verse coming in--just for "luck" and to tell my dear old Dad I'm thinking of him!
