As Dave said, Grit Laskin's guitars are often works of art and I recall a picture that was used in the Luthier's Mercantile catalog supplement last year that was really beautiful and unique. You might contact them and see if its available for a print or something. Their addy is in the "Instrument Related" section of the links.

In that same vein, you could fing a book done a few years ago (10 maybe now) on Danny Ferrington in California. Some beautiful pictures there that might be available.
