Some people have such a hard time in this world.

Me, I just went on a flight and took my dulcimer. I zipped through the scanner as they x-rayed my stuff. Then the TSA lady said "Can I check your purse?"

I said "Okay."

She reached in and pulled out my archaic guitar tuner. She turned to the guy at the screen, smiled and said, "It's a guitar tuner." He smiled back. I smiled at her.

It was a typical encounter among normal, civilized Americans. But next time, I'll lay the tuner, open to view, in the big gray bucket.
