Well, despite everything the England Football World Cup 2018 team are upbeat and expect that later today FIFA will announce the decision in our favour. Personally I'm not that certain, but Beckham, Prince Edward and the PM have pulled out all the stops in Switzerland over the last couple of days. I don't suppose the bid was helped by the BBC Panorama investigation into bribery and corruption amongst FIFA officials, shown only three nights before the bid announcement. Also Birmingham fans didn't help the cause last night by leading a pitch invasion against Aston Villa fans following their Carling Cup win. Still, fingers crossed eh?
