Thanks, SRS. I know I am being silly. I notice it a lot when I go pick up Morgan..all these young kids driving snazzy new cars. Usually all I have to do is think of the payments they are making and I just smile and tell our old boat "thanks," but there are days...oh, well. I did reschedule the appt. to next Tuesday so I won't feel so rushed, etc.
Morgan came over for about an hour. He gave me an early Christmas present "because you've been feeling so sick." It's a "#1 Grandma" necklace. I had to be sure to read the card it was attached to:
Thank you, Grandma, for all you've done For bringing me laughter, smiles, and fun For always loving me, every day In that special caring Grandma way.
I surprised him with a memory stick which looks like a pencil eraser. I put some music on it which he loves. He was really surprised and thanked me I don't know how many times. Then he called me in tears, after going home. His computer is old and didn't recognise the device. I got him calmed down and hope one of his "gaming" parents can help him with it. Maybe let him play it on one of their computers, though when he said goodbye, he was going to write a story and save it to the stick to show his teacher.
