I think I've told some of you about one night in the parking lot outside our apartment in 1999, 11pm. A woman pulled into the parking lot next to my son's room then leaned on the horn, looking at a path about three buildings down. I walked over and stood beside her door. She didn't even notice me as she honked and peered to her right. I used the flat of my hand and I pounded on her hood a half dozen times.
She immediately stopped, clutched her chest, and looked shocked. I was frankly quite rude. Along the lines of "Get out of your fucking car and go knock on the door . . ." She evidently didn't die of a heart attack because I wasn't disturbed by an ambulance. :-/
I've been on my feet all afternoon. Pot of beans is simmering, tortillas made, most of them now in the freezer. Roasted a squash and some of that will thicken the beans. I'll be baking tonight - the serious family cookies come next, krumkaka (the photos look like they use a pin to roll them up on, I just use my fingers) and spritz. Our spritz are made with a press feeds a long ridged row of dough and you cut them into pieces when they come out of the oven. And other cookie press shapes are used for almond cookies and such.
The dogs are now bathed and treated. I'll do a load of laundry, and need to clean that hall bathroom to clear up the dog hair in the tub.
