Subject: RE: Nova Scotia Songs
the other rankins also recorded a tape that shold be looked up. rita rankin and friend did it. it is one of the best celtic music tapes i've ever heard.

kenzie macneil did a few grat tapes as well. the compliation listed is good but there are better out there.

there are books published by the government of nova scotia called the sings of ns and songs of cape breton respectively. they are great resourses.

then of course there's john maciain's two cd's fatrewell to nova scotia and the wind that shakes the barley, available whereever you find him busking. that's me folks.they were three tapes that i remixed for the cd market.remember when tapes were how an iterinant shit like me did his opwn music to sell underground) the first two i made out in vancouver and the third in toronto of all the songs that people kept asking"is that on the tape"

i should rerecord them with modern help i found in toronto but sigh i'm getting to old.and i have material for a few more but again....
