Andrea, I was looking for a thermostat for the garage to run the dogs' heater, and I came across this:

It's a thermostat and a roof de-icing cable.I was thinking about using something like this to use, but I went and looked at their heater and it has a thermostat. I'd just gotten into the habit of turning it on when it gets cold, but I've adjusted it so it only comes on below about 45.

I wonder if there is something comparable that you could run on your Euro power on your roof?
