LOL...I was also going to recommend some of Roy Harris's works, including his piano suite, American Ballads, which I grew up hearing my brother play, but danged if I couldn't *hear* Harris's influence on my brother's music AND how the student far surpassed the teacher and now I won't be happy until I get my bro's Ode to the Rockies on youtube for ya'll t'hear!
