I was watching a movie tonight - Love, Actually, and it brought memories of my kids in airports. Bittersweet, yes, but powerful, and in the end, good memories. (And isn't it nice when the place is "mostly clean!") Our loved ones are with us when we make the effort to honor them. I put all clear crystal on the mantle this year, with ornaments in them, but this evening I added a small goblet with ruby-red color. Years ago my husband said, as I unpacked family glassware, that this glass was the type is mother collected. She died last week. "If she had a knife, and saw this glass, she'd probably mug you for it" he joked. So Rosa, this one's for you!

Andrea, I've driven in those kind of conditions several times. It tests you, but leaves you feeling strong, doesn't it, when you manage to get home through difficult conditions.
