Andrea, I used to have a mix of highlights and lowlights in my hair, but the gray was showing through enough that we decided to switch to just lowlights so the gray kind of looks like the highlights part. :-/
It was up to at least 70 here today, and for the accountability portion of my report, this evening shortly after dark I took the girls for a lovely walk so we could look at some of the holiday lights. They still manage to find acorns in the street even in the dark, so were happy.
I've been photographing a card on a table with strategically placed antique ornaments and layering in a historic photo to make the old photo look like it is part of a modern card. Took me a few days to land on this approach after the others proved too difficult to manage with my fairly basic grasp of InDesign. I did the card in Photoshop instead. Here's what it looks like. I hope they like this one, it took me a while to get here, but I think it works. The background is dark on purpose, with the ornaments and brass lamp simply for a little atmosphere. The card is actually one my brother sent last year (here's the original).
