Gosh, Maeve, to me your yurt is the best Christmas of all! And the prep has been breathtaking! And your candlelight service a great way to celebrate.

I had a long talk today with Rob's toxic brother. His call and insistence: so I explained, somewhat tearfully, why I have trouble dealing with him and how I, too, am worried about R and have been trying very hard to get him out to do the things which bro thinks need to be done. As this is at least the 4th explanation over the last 18 months, I am hoping he actually heard me and that our Christmas can be less stressful. Last year's was dreadful due to him.

No prep other than concern about how to deal with the logistics. I hope the brothers can do something together Christmas eve and we can all go to a friend's open house on Christmas day. She too is a psychotherapist and willing to have J. There will be others as a buffer. I will take a special loaf of choc, cranberry from our favourite bakery. Maybe something else if I feel like cooking tomorrow.

Right now, I await Rob, already late for our trip to the Cafe for Christmas program (I really wanted to be on time tonight)-- He took his brother to pick up his car. ---because his brother was talking on his cell while driving without a license a few days ago. $1000 in fines and car was impounded. Sure, he was on his way to get his license... This is at least his second for using cell... They could not have done this two hours ago?? Am I frustrated?? Discouraged?? Will I let it go and keep on - SURE!

Yet one more stressful Christmas. Yes, I am down right now BUT I am so glad to hear about others' preps and family doings. You give me hope and something to hold on to. There are cheerful Christmases out there! I am thankful for your words of happy preps.
