Garden catalogs have started to arrive here and we, of course, are planning and drooling. Our hoop house is not yet complete, although it is getting close. The cold crops are growing in our living room in the most sunny spot, where I also have a large pot of fresh parsley growing (YUM). I am most jealous that you still have tomatoes ripening! Tonight I made a pizza from scratch using canned tomato sauce that we made this summer. Mmmmmm. Mmmmmm. GOOD!

I slept in this morning after a restless night. We went to Walmart...all 3 of us...what a nightmare that place is. I picked up 4 totes for storage of Christmas decorations that have been needing something more than a basic box to keep them protected from dirt, bugs and snakes in the storage shed (yep..found snake skins in there...EW). Dishes from dinner are all done up, we have new sheets on our bed (polar fleece...so cozy in our unheated bedroom) and I cleaned out most of the fridge today.

I am looking forward to leaving this year behind and moving into the new year. We talked about getting out my new rifle (ok...I've had it awhile but it's still NEW) and bringing in the new year with a BANG. I still might do it (we live in the middle of nowhere where this can be safely done) but will use a pistol instead as the rifle would kick back right into the port in my chest...probably not a good idea!
