That's interesting about the hens. How long have they been upset by the noise or other signs of work? I wonder if this is something that others are experiencing, and if they've compared notes?

Kat, I'd love the calendar if you don't have a use for it. And that's a good idea about the address book right in front of the computer. I have enough space on my desktop now that I've streamlined the system that I could at least tuck it away but in view under and behind my monitor. I have to step around things to reach it on a shelf right now.

This morning I commented to a friend that I need to organize my ornaments, that I'm sure there's stuff to toss, but that means getting it all out. And realized as I wrote that there is now room in the living room to spread out all of those boxes. So, before I put the current batch away I'm going to make myself a bowl of popcorn, pick a couple of DVDs to watch, and get down all of those boxes. This afternoon. This might be a one-movie job, maybe two. But it will make decorating easier in the future and should clear space in my office closet, where most of this stuff lives up on shelves the rest of the year. (It also means I have to go pull a string of lights out of the pine tree in the front yard, but I haven't turned them on for a couple of nights anyway. Odd - everyone turned their lights off early this year, didn't leave them up till New Years.)
