SRS,

Do you have any titles in mind for the cookbooks or are you just browsing? We plan for our garden too...what has worked in the past, what we want more of, generally a new variety of this or that. We planted a (new to us) heirloom seed last year that worked out really, really well. It cost a little bit more but knowing that it wasn't genetically modified and that, if we want, we can save seeds and it will grow again next year. Some GM seeds will germinate from saved seed but the fruit isn't nearly what it should be, at least that's been our experience. We grew wheat this year, gathering it by hand, got the hulls off the old fashioned way, ground it up with a hand grinder and have made our own bread from it....very satisfying! Jeremiah has been eating from our store of canned and frozen goods that we put up this summer...talk about a good feeling!!! :)
Anyway, I was just curious if you were thinking of any specific titles. Jamie Oliver is very interesting...did you catch his series about foods in the schools in West Virginia (I think)? He's definitely on to something! I'm going to go nose around the Dr. Oz site to see what you were talking about. I've started making progress with my weight loss...YAY! I've ben stalled for awhile now after gaining with all the chemo & steroids (weird...never heard of people gaining weight with chemo but my oncologist says it has to do with each individual combination of drugs).

Later Gators!
(Okay...yes, I'm stalling. I need to start dinner and I just don't want to. I'm tired. The baby is sleeping. The house is quiet and I want to nap too!!!)

Onward!
