I have always been a big fan of Gerry Rafferty. His sound and melancholy lyrics were unique. I went to his City to City tour in Amsterdam. Musically it was the best concert I ever heard. He took his time soundchecking but after that Gerry and band sounded even better then on the album. I had the privilige of shaking hands with him a couple of hours before the concert because he and the band were dining in the same restaurant. Gerry struck me as a very friendly and approachable person. May he find rest.
