Talking of predictability I have always thought that about Burt Baccarac (not sure of the spelling) although some of the tunes were pretty and easy on the ear there was something so predictable about them and thought that he was a tad overrated, the singers made the songs or perhaps the songs were so simple they were great for any up and coming singer (if you like that kind of thing of course). It would have been interesting to see how the Beatles might have sounded covering some of BB's stuff like Oasis did. It might have sounded awful or possibly better for Paul.
