I was in New Hampshire earlier this week. I had heard of the Press Room in Portsmouth, of course - mostly from posts on the mudcat. I saw there was an open mic there on Tuesday, so I drove over from Salem. After getting a slot on the roster, I asked the host if there were any people there who might have known Barry Finn. Well, of course there were, and the result was that I was welcomed into a fine group of people for the evening. One woman even carries a picture of Barry - singing, of course. I never met Barry but knew him from here, and we had chatted several times. I just think it is great that someone like him, even in death, is still bringing folks together.
