Also at The Atlantic, Andrew Sullivan is trying to tie Sarah Palin to this violent act, but has to admit that Loughner isn't exactly the Tea Party type. Especially after finding a twitter feed of one of Loughner's former friends, who describes him as left-wing, a political radical, anti-flag and a pot head. She also said he had met Giffords before and called her stupid. He certainly doesn't sound like a political conservative. It sounds like he's always been kind of weird, and perhaps had some kind of psychotic break. We'll find out soon enough."
