Just a note-- nutrish/declut/weight loss-- we have been slowly decluttering the beef shelf of the freezer and bulking up the fish and white-chicken department. Almost all the dairy calories have become non-fat Greek-style yogurt. Every once in a while we get a fat-calories craving, because our at intake is now so low-- and that's what unsalted almonds are for, every time they go on sale.

BTW look up Hungry Chick. Marvelous foods and yummies with large servings of few calories. Her recent survival tip on bulking of frozen dinners has worked bigtime-- serve the small portion on top of a base of steamed broccoli.

A new pursuit for months has been trying a new fresh veg each shopping trip, to make veggies the star of each dinner around which we build the proteins and carbs in smaller proportions. TBTG the stores cooperate-- have been getting diced butternut squash ready to roast or stirfry. Today it's rutmus, with rutabagas pre-diced. Very handy!
