McGrath of Harlow, I thought it was you who first told us about Web Ferret but, though I searched, I was unable to find your post to verify the fact. Though I haven't tried it, I have the impression that Dogpile does much the same thing.

Reading over this thread I'm left with the impression that people don't understand what we're saying. Web Ferret uses Google as well as the other popular engines discussed here. If you use Web Ferret, you'll be using your favorite engine, whatever that may be. The point is that your search will be much faster and you'll cover more of the Internet in less time than a direct use of a single search engine will accomplish.
