I just spoke with Karen - Spaw has been texting her - something she's very happy about as he hasn't been doing that for a while. She is very excited about the laptop - while Spaw doesn't show any signs of wanting to use one right now she thinks that, when it's there, he'll not be able to resist coming on line. Watch out world!

It's likely that his trach will be coming out before too long - they've turned it down some already. He has the catheter out and is walking down the hall. She says that he is doing much better although he is still very weak, but is getting stronger every day. They are hoping that he will go for rehab at Ohio State - a very aggressive rehab centre.

He wants to go home - he says that he is worried that his cat will forget him. Karen says no chance, she wants him home to get the cat off her - she can't give it enough attention.

Both boys are doing very well and have said that they will be there whenever needed when Spaw is finally allowed home.
