Try rubbing stye gently but frequently with gold ring. It's an old wives remedy, don't know why it should work but it has for me over the years.
Here in UK there is a cream "Golden Eye Ointment "- see the gold connection- never had to use it, but it's formulated for styes.
Hope yours is shortlived.
