Thanks for the interesting observations, SRS. I've come to recognize that distractions are a problem for me, too. One thing that works (to some degree) is getting everything assembled into a "prep" area ahead of time. I may not get to it right away, but at least everything is ready when I finally decide that the time is right to tackle it. That helped when I was getting ready to paint the kitchen last summer.
