'Course we're back to the same old argument. Does the "greatest guitarist" mean the best player in one style (or even 2 or 3) or the player who can play all (or most) styles at the highest level?

If it's the former, then we have probably 30 world's best guitarists, and if it's the latter, we have to acknowledge folks like Gatton, Tuck Andress, Roy Buchannan, and a whole lot of lesser known players. Generally though, folks vote for the "stars", 'cause they haven't heard of the others. It's still huge fun for me to "discover" new players (who may have been around for years). This year's discovery? Snoozer Quinn!!!!!
