A banjo playing friend was felled by an aneurysm Sunday night and is hanging on but the prognosis isn't good. He's in ICU in a Seattle hospital, was medi-vacced down there. So far he has survived the surgery to release pressure on his brain and the brain surgery to repair and clean up inside. At this point, he's still not responding but he has opened an eye twice.

This is a wonderful guy, whole-hearted, supportive, gentle, talented... It's true he plays the banjo but he's one of those who never step on a melody line, a great ear, a sensitive player, if you will. One of those you're almost embarrassed to harass about banjos.
