The principle is more general. The idea that cheapest is best is often wrong. I see so many cockups by "will writers" and "licensed conveyancers" selected on price rather than expertise.

However mechanics it seems to be the other way round - the licensed stealer is often more per hour than many lawyers, yet can screw a mechanical job up better than any shade tree mechanic.
