Today is lovely, but I have company coming on Monday, so I need to do some clearing up in the house. To start with, I've been tossing paper and cardboard (boxes from electronics purchases, mostly) around my office. I'm determined to have an exposed desk surface so I can think about rearranging a few things.

I need to take photos of donation stuff and make a run to the Goodwill; there's a stack that has built up considerably in the sun room on the floor.

Same ol' weekend stuff, dishes, laundry, shopping. And reading. Not only reading the Procrastination book, but reading through some of the piles of paper that I kept to read. I have a friend who builds up a huge stack of New York Times sections then goes back every couple of weeks to reread what he left there, and decides to toss or cut it and send it to someone else. Good thing he's found they all appear in the online version so he saves postage. My paper buildup isn't quite like that, but there is a generalized layer of paper around the house again that I need to address.

I rearranged the limb in the pot of rocks in the living room; it's in the corner now with a live plant nearby and an antique trunk beside it, to see if it looks good. It is easier to get into the trunk this way (I keep the dog gear in there). That room looks the most put together right now, but it still could use a lot of work. I think I'm getting a glimmer of a spring cleaning/rearranging urge with today's sunshine.
