Al, Holy communion in my eyes is a partaking of bread and wine in remembrance of Jesus... He actually said "Do this in remembrance of me" so it is part of my Christian lifestyle. There are some who believe in 'transubstantiation'... the changing of the bread and wine into body and blood... but that's not for most Bible believing Christians.
