As the cooked chicken and pork sausages have been cooked and frozen individually and will not be stored lon term, I simply put them in a plastic bag sucking out as much air as possible. Tonight, finding myself solitary, I put a few baby carrots and a sliced up stalk of broccoli in a ceramic bowl, put in microwave for 8 min, added a frozen chicken breast for last two minutes and gave it two more. Added some salsa for flavour and had a healthy one dish meal in less than 15 minutes.

Most of the day was spent on the computer. Gathered, edited and sent off info on discernment, membership and more to Quaker group. Pursued other info. A few brief e-mails. Long phone conversation giving support to friend on west coast.

Long conversation about raccoons with woman in Quebec who transitions orphans through their first winter. David Suzuki and The Nature of Things were unknown to my friend in NW. On CBC.ca, this is a marvellous weekly program about the environment and animals. The next two weeks are on the Raccoon Nation, raccoons in Toronto. Then I will finish my writing on raccoons and share it with reporter. Also want to connect him with rescue organization so public will have correct info on how to/what to do.
