My daughter lives in Lincoln, just south of Christchurch and just west of this epicentre.

Fortunately I've got the message that they're all OK and the house is undamaged. I'm supposed to be there on Friday . . . They've no power, water is disrupted, but SAFE.

It makes you realise what is important in life . . . the rest is trivia.
