Saulgoldie.....You are quite wrong. Male homosexuals (MSM)are in the US and the UK, the group with by far the highest rates of hiv infection, in percentage terms and I believe also in real numbers.
As homosexuals represent only 2% of the whole population, it is easy to see the scale of the problem......if we want to see it.

I dont need patronising thank you, save your pity for those who are affected by aids and condemned to ever increasing infection rates by people like you, who prefer to stick their heads in the sand, rather than confront what is a gigantic health problem.
Contrary to what you posted, male homosexuals are the only group in which infection rates continue to rise steadily.....and that includes intravenus drug abusers. Infection rates in all demographics except male homosexuals are falling......please explain!
