Subject: RE: Lyr Req: You Can Come and See the Baby
This song was very well known and sung in my Scottish family. This is what I remember of it.
Oh the wife and I felt very very lonely for a while Sitting in the kitchen by ourselves Then one day after tea the wife she told to me a secret that I couldnay keep myself. So since two o'clock this morning I've been running round the street The neighbours must have thought there was a fire The policeman was laughing as I went running by for at my side was Dr. McIntyre.
You can come and see the baby any day you care to call He's lying by his mammy in a wee white shawl He looks so neat and swanky like a dumplin in a hanky and we're going to call him William Angus Jimmieson Jock McCall.
Dimmeradoo my daddy-o dimmerado my daddy-a We've got a baby in the hoose and I am the Daddy-O
