That's a fabulous idea, though the ads with coupons would have to be quite durable. Some of our books don't leave the shelves for decades at a time. We're in the process of an inventory right now, that will be finished by the end of the fiscal year. So far they've found 3,000 books that didn't have barcodes. This is after an extensive effort about 10 years ago to barcode every book, and all new books are bar coded as they are received.
