Linda-- It's amazing (and encouraging of continued work) that some of the ones I've loved best and/or longest are, at heart, really simple arrangement easily demonstrated from the autoharp as we already have it set up. Enough to teach the songs to the Band and see what emerges from that nucleus.

Apparently something ripened while I wasn't looking-- (1) James offered to teach someone else how to play his old 'harp when he gets his new one; (2) my arranging skills are at a higher level than they were when I left off, hm!; (3) a member of the congregation was differently excited about some guitar lessons she's been thinking about for, oh, at least 5 years now. The holy number-- 3 confirmations of a suspicion = an affirmation of "open way" (as the Quakers call it), for further testing.

Also, some interesting medleys emerged from a Dale Jett CD I heard ydy.

So yeah, it's time I got back to this!
