Today is probably the last of the vacation days I'll take (the students and faculty had the week off for spring break, but staff don't have any days off this week; sometimes we get 1 or 2 days, it varies.) I hear mowers going around the neighborhood, and mine is about to join the chorus.

This is the time of year when I'll be in better shape and my work will shift more to the out-of-doors, whether working on the garden, or working in the garage on things for the house.

Andrea, you and Liz the Squeak both have this odd situation of having to take yard waste out through the house! Is there no alley, no way to exit the back of the yard? I do remember seeing that your house is completely connected to others (it looks like what we would call a row house here in the states). Do you have a basement? A pass-through from the back to the front under the house? (Don't some UK houses have a coal delivery door at the front?)
