At last! The first of the three CDs recording the shanties of John Short, the Watchet sailor - 1839-1933, will be launched in May. 24th in Watchet itself, and at Chippenham Folk Festival on 28th. It's on the Wild Goose label, and it's no. WGS381
Eighteen tracks, from Jeff Warner, Sam Lee, Roger Watson, Jackie Oates, Jim Mageean, Barbara Brown, Keith Kendrick, and Tom Brown - with Brian Willoughby and Doug Bailey.
