In today's paper Rooney has given a long interview which states -:

he now has no intention of ever leaving United
He has no problems with Fergie nor vice-versa
He is pleased with the different role Fergie has given him to play - "free"
He is encouraged by the performance of young players coming through the ranks etc etc

Frankly I don't care where Tevez goes but I believe he will be gone in the summer either to Spain or back to Argentina.

Some people saw Fergie as a father figure for Rooney but I guess he messed than one up.

I agree with your comments about Sir Matt Busby and Jimmie Murphy - often forgotten but brilliant scout for United....and a nice man to boot.

While on the United theme may I offer Bryan Robson one of United's best ever players ( and England's) my best wishes as he fights throat cancer. He was always a fighter and I have no doubts that he will fight this horrible disease.

As a person who has experienced throat cancer and made a full recovery I am naturally going to follow this very closely.

My best wishes go out to Bryan and his family and wish Bryan a good recovery.
