Some folks are of the opinion that while Brazilian Rosewood actually smells like roses, East Indian Rosewood smells more like dog poo. While I agree that IER doesn't smell the least bit like roses, I've never noticed a similarity to dog poo. One of my IER guitars did smell like cat poo for a while, but that was entirely because a cat shit in its case .
