We built the CPR (Canadian Pacific Railway) to tie the east and west of this country so as to ensure we were seen as a viable nation. It was also a method of moving troops fast, relatively speaking. However, everything we've done hasn't always been that smart. Our command structure fought hard for Canadians to lead the Dieppe invasion--actually a thing that was doomed to failure even before it happened. The cost was horrible. And it didn't do a damned thing in real term--test the defenses of the coast to see how difficult the eventual D Day would be my as--pfffft.

So, we know how to build railroads, die in battle, and appreciate movies like 'Canadian Bacon' or the word 'hoser'. However, Ebbie has opened new worlds for us. Sanctification isn't in the cards, but there's always the next best thing: be a Canadian.
