Thread Name: A Song a Day (Lenten)
Subject: RE: A Song a Day (Lenten)
Arr. done, lyrics in edit:

Hold Him in Heaven for Me - Barbara Fairchild
Some Day - Blue Highway
Senorita - (NOT Sparks), it's The Low Anthem (thanks Mudcat)
If I Can Help Somebody - JD Sumner

There are several more, but the binder holding those is not here today.

"Peace Be Still" has morphed and bred.... I had am amazing experience with it one morning while breaking camp near the end of my trip. Multiple experiences IN the trip (and a recent one) all hit me at once to result in a secular "peace interlude NOW" song that can be done with acc. if instrument is handy OR led a capella with non-singers making a rhythm accomp. This is a song that flows like breath; it's perfect to settle a whole group down when needed, around a common theme that it is actually safe NOW to relax into peace for at least a few minutes. Putting it with a rhythm trick I'd learned from someone else long ago resulted in a list of "group music therapy" pieces I can use in workshop settings as needed/appropriate. The songs is the key to a set of long-missing tools-- several song options even Strokebrain can pull up from memory to go with the one or two already in mind. They will all fit on a card in my purse.
