Back from walking the dog - Susie wasn't home yet so we didn't get to meet Zeke, but Cinnamon insisted on heading straight for the front walk at their house as we walked up the street. She has clearly imprinted on him as a friend.
I scored some important park documents from Fort Worth Parks and Community Services today, very helpful plans and studies that we can adapt for our village. Had a good talk with the woman who is a planner for the department. They don't create any clutter though, she downloaded them onto my flash drive. :)
Lovely evening. I need to finish shopping I started earlier, but then I'll putter here. Does anyone else do this--I need gas and I decided a long time ago that I'll treat my personal vehicle like we did in the Forest Service - have it ready to go at the end of the day. If I need to make a trip, i.e., head up to my daughter's house late at night for some reason, I don't want to have to go get gas, or worse, forget I needed it and run out on the way. I always want enough gas in the tank so I can make that round trip if I need to.
In the design planning department today, Nate Berkus had a great tip for a patio "makeover" that answers the question to one section of the yard where I don't want to pave it but I don't like having patchy grass there. The answer was broken concrete and gravel. Looks great, and it would be perfect for the corner between the patio and the gate that the dogs tear up.
