I love listening and watching good bluegrass players. I look for impeccable timing, tasteful and creative licks with exceptional playing technique. I don't go for the suits and ties, and the fast playing turns me off completely if it's sloppy. Sometimes the singing and playing is too darn good, (which I find can be overdone)and that also turns me off. Of course I play old time music, and go for a more natural style of singing and playing without the flash - which suits me just fine. When people ask me what kind of music I play, I have to tell them it's sort of like bluegrass, and for you Bluegrassholics, check out the Oct. issue of Bluegrass Unlimited - I was told that our new CD has had a review in there.
