Patsy, about the Creocoat (new name for product permitted in place of Creosote) We have both been vomiting and my throat is now raw. We haven't slept for two nights as the fumes are absolutely unbearable. My washing off the clothesline stinks, and in spite of the lovely weather we can't sit out in the garden or do any gardening. In a minute we're going out in the car to somewhere where we can breathe, we'll stay out as long as possible. I feel ill and tearful. Has anyone the right to put their neighbours through all this? We coated OUR fences with odour-free water-based fencepaint, it's just as effective. My three cats, by the way, look ill too, they're not eating. I'm worried about the possible long-term effects of these chemicals, eg cancer.
