SRS,

   Approximately 2000 steps (give or take depending on the length of the stride) is a mile. :)
    I've got my pedometer sitting on the table clipped to my baskt of *goodies* (glucose monitor, insulin pen, notebook, etc). I just have to remember to put it on!!!
    I've found that a pedometer that clips on and then has a string attached with another clip works well. My pedometer sometimes falls off and the extra clip keeps it from hitting the ground. The swinging of it against my body alerts me to the fact that it has come off....otherwise I would have lost well over 20 of them!
   I walked quite a bit today but I have no idea how far....far enough that my legs and feet are tired.
