Vinca minor (as opposed to major) was used as groundcover in the Puget Sound area where I grew up. We can't get any vinca to grow as annuals here - there is an ornamental plant, taller, not spreading, that is sold in nurseries but that is commonly impacted by a plant virus that turns them yellow, then they die.

Sounds like lots of us are untangling our mothers' sewing or crafts projects. Let these serve as a reminder to us to keep our sewing baskets in good order and finish what we start. ;-)

Penny, I also inherited office supplies from my Dad that I've used for years. He had a box of tractor feed envelopes for the old dot matrix printers, and I worked out a template in Word so I can tear off one of the tractor pages and put it sideways through my laser hand feed door and use these. If the glue is dry on yours use a glue stick or tape them - It's nice when you can continue to use these things. It's a reminder for me of my Dad every time I use one of his envelopes.

There is a growing pile of small shoe boxes and other cardboard resulting from organizing the cupboard and shelves. I have for too long been subject to the tyranny of the "useful box." Keep it, I might need it for something else. I have so many I kept now, it's embarrassing. Time for some of them to get recycled.

I decided to reassign my newly-emptied kitchen-sized trash cans that fit in the bottom of my cupboard in the sun room. My eBay stuff for shipping has been in trash bags under a table. One of the trash cans is now full of styrofoam peanuts (didn't know I had so many!) and another holds the various sheets of bubble wrap that came in packages. A third holds various sponges and chunks of styrofoam that can be so handy when stabilizing things for shipping. It took only the time for a cup of tea to brew to step in there and empty one of the trash bags into these bins, and it will clear up a lot of floor space. I had 2 trash bags under the table - I can slide some of the boxed sales items under there now and clear up a lot of floor space.

Back to work now that I've not only cleared up some bulk, I've made my sunroom more efficient.
