The good thing about PC is that I am less likely to come up against anything that will offend, I can be relaxed in the knowledge that most of the time I can walk down the street, get on a bus, on a train generally do day to day things without having the day upset by anything nasty. What I first thought was the over strict smokings laws when it first came here annoyed me somewhat but now I admit that the benefits outway me feeling disgruntled about it. It is more disciplined and has been effective keeping the streets cleaner people here in Bristol seem to be disposing of the cigarette ends more responsibly than before. It's not perfect but better than it was. But I do get annoyed when people walking by a designated area insist on doing the fake cough to show their distate. If the sign says designated why can't the non-smokers keep away from it and mind their own business?
