I thought 180 grams was high also, even without mg's expertise. I remember a 60-carb diet being a mainstay in the 1970s, and it worked for me. I should keep that in mind now - way too many carbs in my day, and some days I do work like a lumberjack!

I have a tight schedule this week; I've been finishing a couple of projects and am taking vacation time to aid in that work. Today I did some shopping for one project in particular (the low wall out front) but didn't get beyond tamping down the sand and concrete bricks that it will sit on. A few days ago I mixed up a couple of bags of cement to make a platform for each end, and in between is sand and bricks. It isn't meant to hold up a house, it is meant to be ornamental. I have some great stones to work with, and I can see already that I'm going to have to round up some of the small stones to make it work (I moved them into a stack by the driveway, but I'll bring them back). I have 3 bags of mortar to start with.

I've photographed a couple of things that didn't sell in the garage sale, and I'll donated them to Goodwill. I can carry over last year's donations with this, so maybe I'll have enough this year to make a dent in the taxes. Runs to the Goodwill and the recycle center tomorrow.

Had a great walk with Susie and Zeke. I thought they'd be out of town, but they delayed their trip, so she brought Zeke to my house to start our walk so my ex, who was visiting, could meet both of them. He grew up in Brooklyn, she grew up in Queens. They had a few places in common to talk about as the dogs sat under a tree patiently and waited for the people to stop chatting. :)
