I forgot. Some of what was said above, causes me to remind people that overweight is linked to environmental toxins. Toxins are stored in fat. This is a two-edged sword. It is hard to lose weight if our bodies are full of toxins but it is important to loss the fat to get rid of the toxins. This is, I believe, why I cannot lose weight unless I get clear of the toxins - as evidenced that I was able to lose 40 pounds after my big de-tox several years ago. I just found the log book from that period. That "diet" which was not the least bit difficult at the time (AD!) was totally restricted:

Brekkie: one piece of good german rye bread toasted, with tahini.

lunch: salad - lettuce, lots of humous.

supper: large bowl of broccoli and a broiled breast of chicken.

HONEST! On Sundays, at brunch with friends - cheese omelete, home fries -- and a double choc muffin which I usually saved for later; it often lasted until Tuesday!

I could not manage that right now ----I was going to say "if my life depended on it". Now, if I could somehow convince myself that my life does depend on it>>>???? We'll see. I am drinking miso cup of soup - a couple times a day but then I get hungry.....

IT was lovely to read about the appearance of Jeremiah!
